PICTURES
I went to an internet cafe to burn pictures on a CD. I took these pictures in Tasmania. It was the second time I have burnt these pictures of Tasmania. The number of pictures is about one thousand, three hundred. Am I crazy??

BRIDGE RD
I went to Bridge Rd. in Richmond which is an outlet mall.
There are many brand shops of shoes, gifts, jewelry, clothes and so on. A lot of shops line the streets, not just a large shopping center so I thought it would be one of the best places to stroll the streets in Melbourne. I had an enjoyable time.

MELBOURNE
I went from Tasmania to Melbourne. It took only an hour and ten minutes on the flight, but the atmosphere was different when I got off because lots of trams run in the streets, more than I thought. I think Melbourne is the place with a mixture of city and town. It seems to be busy but also has relaxating places like parks and there are a lot of fashonable buildings.
Anyway, I'm going to explore Melbourne from tomorrow. It must be fun!

GOOD BYE TASMANIA!
I'm going to leave Tasmania tomorrow. Time roles on quickly... The connections of telephone, internet, TV and radio sometimes weren't made because of being in the country but I could concentrate on the trip by forgetting everything and enjoying myself to the full. I met many wild animals and looked at many beautiful stars I have never seen before. I'm satisfied to have come here. I have never had such a splendid trip. Thank you for always driving the car, Yasu!! And coming with us on this easygoing trip around the island, Yuki!!

SALAMANCA MARKET
I went to the Salamanca Market. It was the second time I have been there.
This market is very interesting for me just to look at shops because there are a large variety of goods. I bought five sets of post cards, whose pictures were taken in the places I went but couldn't take pictures. They were very amazing. I wish I was good at taking pictures.

After that, we got tickets for Melbourne. We’re going to depart from Hobart next Monday.

ROUND TASMANIA #13
I went to the Henty Sand Dunes. It is close to the sea and there are many hills which are made from sand and have funny shapes. It had a 4WD Bike tour even though I didn't join it. It sounded fun. I went there with corrugated boxes and tried to slide on them, but I couldn't. Maybe I could have done it if the sand was a little bit more solid..
After that, I went to some lookouts where I could look at beautiful landscapes.
I arrived at Hobart at almost 21:30. My round of Tasmania was done!

ROUND TASMANIA #12
I did some bushwalking around Cradle Mountain. It took about 5 hours. The landscape at which I looked after I climbed was spectacular. I could look at Mt.Cradle from different angles and feel refreshed by the fresh air. I encountered an echidna. He toddled up the road normally. I guessed he must have met with us as soon as he had woken up. Then in Caravan Park I encountered a wild wallaby, wambats and possums. They were so cute.
Finally, I went to Ocean Beach in Strahan. I saw the sky dyed red by the sunset. It was so fascinating that I have never seen anything like it. It was like a drawn picture.

ROUND TASMANIA #11
I dropped in Penguin which is the name of a town. The town's mascot is a penguin, so I could see lots of penguin statues. There’re a lot of flowers which are kept up. It was a very beautiful town and I looked at Hellyer Gorge which had a huge waterfall.
Finally, I arrived at Cradle Mountain. We had a plan to climb there the next day so we just went walking around the lake. It took about 1.5 hours. Mt. Cradle, glowing in the setting sun, was very beautiful.

ROUND TASMANIA #10
In the early morning, we had our fill of the wonderment of sunrise while looking at The Nutt.
Next, we went to look at the Big Tree, which is in the scene of an animated cartoon produced by Hayao Miyazaki. It was so high that we couldn’t look at the top and it was so thick that we needed 5 people linking hands to encircle it.
After that, we went to Table Cape. There’s a light house and sheep. The evening sun I saw there was amazing.

ROUND TASMANIA #9
There’re many lovely churches in Launceston. We toured the favourite ones to take pictures.
After that, we started out for Stanley, hanging around on the way.
In Devonport, we could see the Spirit of Tasmania. It was very big.
We could just catch sunset in Stanly, even though we were afraid of not being on time. The Nutt was smiling in the sunset. Then, we slept in the car while looking at a host of stars whose number was more than those in the planetarium. There's nothing better than that??

ROUND TASMANIA #8
We took a day off because Launceston was the middle point of our round trip in Tasmania. I burned pictures onto a CD, went shopping and so on. After that, we parted from Yuki. She left Sydney…
In the afternoon, we went to the Cataract Gorge Reserve. It was a beautiful piece of scenery even though it had been restored.

ROUND TASMANIA #7
We ate parfaits at Hillwood Strawberry Farm on which there were many fresh strawberries and three kinds of ice cream. They were only $5 each. In there, we could buy cheese and strawberry wines.
After that, we returned to Launceston by the Tamar river.
Tonight was the final day Yuki stayed in Tasmania. We had a farewell party with cheese and wine. It was very nice.

ROUND TASMANIA #6
I went to the Bay of Fires. The place isn’t mentioned in the guide book which we brought from Japan, but was recommended by the information centre of Tasmania. The contrast among the reddish brown rocks, the green mountains and the blue sea and sky was so amazing that I couldn’t move there for a while.. It must be the most beautiful beach I have ever seen.
Next, we went to St.Columba Falls in St.Helens. We walked around there. The way there was cool and comfortable.

ROUND TASMANIA #5
At first, we looked at the blowhole in Bicheno, which looks just as if the tide is blowing because the waves beat the rocks. The backpacker hostel’s owner said that we couldn’t look at it because nowadays the tide was on the ebb. However we could! Crucially, the altitude of the tide was around 2 metres when the tide flows high.
Next, we went to Redbill Beach. We could look at Diamond island from there. Even though the island is separating from the beach we can normally walk up there when the tide is on the ebb because they’re linked. Unfortunately, we couldn’t cross there. However, it was very beautiful because the sea and the island were reflected by the sunshine.
Then, we went to St.Elephant's, which is a pancake cafe. The pancakes were similar to crepes in Japan. They were sweet and delicious.

ROUND TASMANIA #4
At first, we went bushwalking in Freycinet National Park, which is one of the places which I looked forward to visiting. It took about 5 hours. On the way there, we carried Stefany, who was a German girl staying at the same backpacker Hostel, and walked around there together. The air was very fresh and the scenery, which I looked at after sweating a lot, was amazing. Wineglass Bay was very fantastic, especially the contrast of color with the ocean of emerald and navy blue, the beach of beige and the sky of light blue. It was a touching sight.
Next, we went to Becheno and dropped in on an oyster fishery. We ate fresh oysters with squeezed lemons. It was very nice. I recognized the reason why oysters are called the milk of the sea.
After that, we went to the shore of Bicheno, which is wellknown for being able to see wild penguins. First, we couldn’t see anything because they were too dark, but degree by degree, we were able to see them. When we kept quiet, they sometimes passed in front of us. They were so cute. However I couldn’t take pictures because my camera ran out of power from the battery. It’s just like Tasmania to see wild Penguins!

ROUND TASMANIA #3
We enjoyed the formative art of nature by stopping at some lookouts here and there.
We also stopped by Kate’s Berry Farm which was recommended by our friends that we met in Sydney. It was a very pretty farm. We ate an ice-cream with four layers. It was a rich taste and very nice.
On the drive, we stopped by Ross, which has a famous bakery. This place had “ packages of the witch”. It was a very cute bakery. We bought a chicken pie, a vanilla cream pie and a wheel choco pie. I had heard pies were very popular in Australia, however I’d never tried them. It was delicious. I was glad because I could eat them at this bakery first. Ross town was also like a fairytale and cute.
Finally, we arrived at Coral Bay. We were impressed by the grand scale of the bay.

ROUND TASMANIA #2
At first, we went to Port Arthur which has old jails and many sightseeing points. We could catch a glimpse of the jails in the old days. However, that wasn't all. The gardens were well maintained, and the harmony among the mountains, sea and buildings was wonderful. We stayed there for 5hours, but it wasn’t enough time.
After that, we were impressed by the grandeur of the nature on the way to Triabumnua. It was marvelous.

ROUND TASMANIA #1
At first, we went to the Salamanca market. It was a bigger one than I had thought. I could enjoy just looking at shops because they were selling food, handicrafts, accessories, clothes and so on. I bought chopsticks made from trees in Tasmania and some postcards.
Next, we went to Mt.Wellington after we hired a car. Even though it was raining and a dense fog lay all around when we climbed up there, it stopped raining and the fog disappeared as soon as we arrived at the top of the mountain. We could see the whole city of Hobart from there and then we went to Richmond, which was a pretty town as if we were wandering in a fairy story. We saw a couple who were celebrating a wedding behind the Richmond Bridge. Many bubbles were floating around them. It was my most favorite wedding which I had seen in Australia.

CADBURY'S CHOCOLATE FACTORY
We went to Cadbury's chocolate factory. I think it is the most famous cholate brand in Australia. We joined a tour of the factory. It was interesting because we could watch the process of chocolate making under our eyes, and we could taste different kinds of chocolate. It was nice.

SHOT TOWER/BATTERY POINT
I decided to go round Tasmania by car with Yasu and Yuki who I had met in Sydney. We hired a car for about $500 for 14 days. The shop assistant was very kind and gave us advice on travel plans. I appreciated it.
After that, we went to the shot tower. We made paper planes and flew them from the top of it. It was successful! They flew quite a long way with the air currents with being up so high. I think it took around 3 minutes. I was lost in thought.
Next, we saw the rainbows, whose colors were clear and beautiful and then we went to Battery Point. It was a beautiful and pretty town like being in a fairy world.

MT NELSON/CONSTITUTION DOCK/SANDY BAY
We made sandwiches and went to Mt.Nelson. It took about half an hour. We walked around there by a winding path. We could be satisfied with nature all we wanted.. Fortunately, we could look over the landscape below.
After that, we strolled into the city. We went to Constitution Dock and Sandy Bay. They were fashionable and nice places.

TASMANIA
I arrived in Hobart in Tasmania at 11:00. The weather was cloudy, but it wasn't colder than I had thought. I felt an atmosphere of peace. I slept as soon as I decided on the backpacker Hostel where I stayed because I was tired. I'm looking forward to visiting many beautiful places from tomorrow.

GOOD BYE SYDNEY!
I decided to leave Sydney tomorrow. So I went to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge again. Today's weather wasn't so fine, but the night view was very beautiful. At first, I thought Sydney was just a busy city, but it wasn't true. Actually, I have stayed here for a much longer time than I had thought before. Of course, It is a very busy city, but also has other aspects as it has a lot of nice parks, friendly people, beautiful views and so on.I'm not sure if I will come back here.
Anyway, I will miss Sydney a lot. I'm going to go to Tasmania tomorrow.

MAROUBRA BEACH
I went to Maroubra Beach which is located near Bondai Beach and is loved by surfers because it has suitable waves for surfing.
There were a lot of people who were relaxing out there. It was very beautiful and amazing because the sea has a lot of blue color like indigo, emerald, tarquoise and so on.I could swim there. At first, I was freezing in the sea because it's water was still cold. But I soon forgot about it. My interest was taken by the nice waves. I wish I had had my own surfboard..I had an enjoyable time..

WATSON'S BAY
I went to Watson's Bay where we can see both the Pacific and Sydney Harbour together. It took about 40 minutes by bus from the center of Sydney, and it was a little bit far away.On the side of the gradually sweeping gulfs, we can see the buildings of the city. As a contrast, on another one, the cliffs, which are almost 100 metres high, weave through there.I enjoyed looking at the beautiful views a lot.

KINGS CROSS
We went to Kings Cross which is called "The biggest bright lights of the Southern Hemisphere".
It has EL Alamein Fountain in Fitzroy Gardens which is a small park located in the centre. It is a monument for men killed in World WarⅡ, designed by Robert Woodward who was a very famous architect. It was so beautiful.

FLIES IN SYDNEY
There are many flies in Sydney. That annoys me very much.
When I went for a walk, a fly plunged into my mouth. I was suprised and spat it out.
I hate their presence here.

THE ALCHEMIST
I'm reading a book whose title is "The Alchemist". It is a story which is written about a shepherd who believes in his dream and travels to look for it.
Actually, I have read this book many times in Japanese because I love this story a lot, so I'm trying it in English. Maybe I will need a lot of time to do it but I' m sure I can enjoy it a lot.
