ICE AGE 2
I saw a movie the title of which was ICE AGE2. Ar first, I worried about not having seen the first one, but it was no problem - I could understand the story easily. It had had the standard fare of little kids' stuff plus some funny adult stuff. I enjoyed it a lot.
In this story, Scrat who was the little sabre-toothed squirrel was really cute and funny. I loved him a lot.

FORTITUDE VALLEY
I went to Fortitude Valley which is also called ChinaTown. There are a great range of cafes, bars, restaurants, Asian food shops and so on.
We can also see the Valley Markets every weekend. I found jewelley, fabulous handmade accessories and artwork. It was really interesting even though I was just looking.

STEAM RICE
Recently, I'm trying cooking the steam rice by pot. It's common to use the rice-cooker in Japan - however, I think half of the people don't have it in Australia. If I master how to cook the steam rice by pot, it would be also useful when I go camping.

EASTER HOLIDAY
This weekend, Australia is having an Easter holiday. Easter, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, is the most important religious holiday of the Christian liturgical year. It is also called the Sunday of the Resurrection.Especially on Sunday, that is to say today, people give chocolate in the shape of rabbits or eggs to each other. My flat owner also gave me chocolate. It was very pretty, wasn't it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLEN
Allen's birthday is coming next Monday. He is one of my classmates. We had a Korean BBQ as the birthday party. It was the first time we had met except for school. The boys cooked for us. They were very nice chefs! We ate Samgyokusan(pork), sausages, chicken with dipping and Kothujan(Korean traditional miso). Their taste was very nice. I couldn't stop eating them.
The people were all Korean except for me. They were talking about their dialects and warming up over that topic. I heard that sometimes they couldn't understand what they said to each other because their dialects were quite different among their living places, even though Korea isn't such a big country.
Anyway, Happy birthday, Allen!

A NAP ON THE POOL
I swam in the pool which my house owner had. At the time, I slept in the pool for about 1 hour. It was possible because my owner also had a kind of air bed which is used for floating on the water and I used it.
Today was a sunny day and no wind, so it was very comfortable. I got a little sunburn. I had a relaxing time. It was a great holiday.

A PARTY AT HOME
One of my flat mate's friends came over to our house. He is German and came to Australia with his family. I joined their dinner and drinking. My flat mates cooked Korean food which was named "Purukogi". Even though its taste was nomally very spicy, they cooked less a spicy one for us foreginers. It was very nice. After dinner, we drank on the terrace. We talked about movies and cultures. I was suprised because they knew many Japanese cartoons. Actually, I didn't know until I came to Australia that Japanese cartoons were very popular among other contries.
I had a great time.

CONFESSIONS OF A COFFEEHOLIC
When I think about my health, I have a habit which I should break. It is drinking too much coffee. I must be a coffeeholic, it is one of my big problems..
At first, I was drinking coffee just once a day. However, when I had some stress, drinking coffee was relaxing for me. After I knew it, I began to drink more coffee than before. Nowadays I have been drinking 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day. I have trid to quit doing it, but it was difficult.. It has made it difficult for me to sleep well.
Now I should think about something healthy as a substitute for coffee.

NEW SHARE MATE
A new share-mate, whose name is James, came to my house. He is a Korean guy and Jun's friend. James and Jun usually talk in English even though they are both Korean. I think it should be great because I have also tried it with Japanese friends, but I gave up as it was actually difficult. By virtue of it, I could be familiar with them easily.
I had dinner with them. I ate Korean noodles. I might begin to eat more Korean food from now on.

DINNER AT MILTON
I went to Milton to have dinner with Aki. We chose an Italian restrauant which Aki has been to. There was a big screen at which we could watch soccer games and there were decorated by a lot of uniforms. It must be crowded if today wasn't on Monday. We ate pizzas and Italian salads. Recently, I'm interested in a job which is a Japanese language teacher. He gave me some advices, they were very useful information.
I had an enjoyable time. It's nice to dine out for a chance.
